JB,

A quick technique question for you, if you don't mind:
I hope I can explain this right, but other artists sometimes trace what looks like a white outline around characters that are up against a black background in what I can only imagine is an attempt to have the foreground 'pop' out from the background.

In this commission, I noticed that Galactus does blend with the background, which I think makes it look more realistic.

Have you ever used the "white outline" technique before, and could you comment on how this should be properly used?

My god...it's full of stars!

I know it is only the background but MAN...JB sure can make space look cool and cosmic! Part of me is thinking I should commission just a space background!

Another technique question.  How do you approach drawing metallic objects?  Your metal always seems to look like metat.  This is either much more noticeable in black and white than in color or you have really perfected the craft

I think you were channelling Kirby's sense of grandeur with this one, JB.

Wow--amazing commission! I think if I ever scraped the money together to get one of these, I'd definitely get a Galactus piece as well.

And if we're feeling punny- "get the RADD out."

I love Galactus, JB's is always among the best.

There are charcacters that JB just "owns."

Galactus is one of those characters! Everytime I see a JB Galactus, the character looks perfect! AWESOME job!
