The group so far. In just a few months, I went from 3 figures and just collecting Avengers to, well, a lot more. I ended up getting She-Hulk this weekend, I think I'm going to try putting a FF costume on her after I smooth down the gloves and sneakers a bit. She really wasn't as bad as I thought from the photos I have seen. Captain Britain is still enroute from Midtown, so he'll make 7 new figs this week alone. I'm going to need one or two more of these CD cases pretty soon.

My Cap repaint worked out just OK. I'm not thrilled with it, but this is a lot larger scale than I'm used to painting (usually 1:72). The brighter red looks much better to me. I also changed the shape of the opening around the mouth, angling it down past the nose. I still don't have it perfect, the photo pointed out a lot of places I need to fix.

The other day I re-arranged mine again, back in original (British) release order, with "Special Editions" like Hulk and Colossus subbing for figures I decided not to buy (like Wolverine and Storm). Of all the combinations in which I have displayed these figures, this seems to look best and make it easiest to add new figures as they come out. (I have left spaces for earlier releases that have not crossed the Pond yet.)

Thanks, guys. As a dad in a busy house, painting time is at a premium. It's tough to get in any groove with only 10 or 20 minutes free at a time.

Got my order from Midtown yesterday. Sweet! I love the Lizard. Fantastic sculpt, as is Ghost Rider (complete with real chain) and Nick Fury. I'm not all that sold on Captain Britain. I like everything about it except that his head juts out instead of standing tall. Minor complaint and, as I love the character, not enough to distract. All in all, great additions to an ever-growing collection. Room is growing sparse, that's for sure, and with Yellowjacket/Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Galactus, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Nova, and Super Skrull coming down the pike in short order, I'm going to have to get really creative!

If Eaglemoss was on the ball, they would start selling "ladders" for these
things, instead of the flat bases they offer. Something that could hold six or
eight characters in a straight line horizontally, with units that could be
stacked vertically as the growing collection demands.
(I am already thinking about wiring a spare shelf from the "cubes" I use into
the middle, to make better use of the space. As soon as the second tier
reaches the back of the box. . . .)

My solution, for now, can be seen in my photo on the previous page. I found some wire mesh CD storage boxes with magnets on the long sides that are the perfect height for these guys, and deep enough to put a 2nd row in easily. You can stack them one on top of another, or stagger them as I did in the picture. Bought 'em at Target for about $6 each.
