I particularly love Polaris' left arm and hand, the way it extends out from her body and the motion captured in her fingers. That pose, and that arm specifically, is what sold me on the figurine.

Body language, or what we called "gesture" back in Art College, is one of the things these little guys do best. (Which is what makes it odd when the gesture is so conspicuously absent from characters like Spider-Man and Nightcrawler!) The She-Hulk, for instance, is "off-model" for what I see in my mind, but the pose is so perfect it balances the bulging biceps. Subtle things like Lorna's hand, as Matt notes, really do "sell" these pieces.

I was very surprised and happy to find a real chain across Ghost Rider's chest (and another half dozen links on the back!). That, on top of all the studs on his arms, legs, belt and shoulders makes this one of the more impressive figures in the line.

Doing a quick and dirty ink job on Fury came out looking pretty good, including adding the ever popular 2nd eyebrow (since the eyepatch is so low). There is a scribe line around the neck, so I think his collar was supposed to be this high. I'll eventually go over this with paint. And what's the deal with Treat Williams on the front of the magazine??

Snag is, Ryan, that collar is supposed to be low, despite the scribe line.

As you may know I have been running a "custom figurine" competition over on my website. Below is an interpretation of Nick Fury which, sadly, did not make into the comp (technical glitch meant it arrived after closing date)
Two things,
I would appreciate your comments so the repainter does not feel his efforts have gone un-noticed and also offer an invitation for members on here to cast their votes. There is no Byrne Robotics option so to keep it fair just select the SUPERHEROFIGURINEFORUM option and put your Byrne user name followed by "BR". There are some great re-workings of these pieces and they deserve recognition.
Just pop on to my website, follow the Custom Competition Links and enjoy the work.
Any way HERE'S NICK:
Thanks
Steve

I am really looking forward to see them released !
The wait is too long !!! And the size of the pictures is too wide, so you will have to rotate the pictures yourselves...
I know these are from a limited test run, but I find the paint job really really good !

My Spider-Woman and Super-Skrull arrived today!! SS is as ugly as he should be!
Just in time for Christmas!
I'll try and get photos on here, when I learn how to reduce their size!
