Just a tip....

I bought the Black Spider-man on the roof top,but he seems extremely top heavy. Just the slightest bump and he'd fall over on his outstretched hand. So, after keeping him in his box for a week, I had an idea today. I'd make a wide base to prevent him for toppling over. I took a scrap piece of 1/4" foam board and placed the figurine on top. I scored around the figure lightly with a zacto knife. Then I made the final cut slightly inside the scored line. Since the hole is slightly smaller than the figure's base I wiggled it in for a snug fit. To prevent him from falling forward, I left a large amount foam core on the front. Now, it seems much more stable. I also made another larger base for Doctor Strange who already fell over once and chipped the top of his collar. You can get solid black foam core at most art stores if you want to match the black base better.

Next week on DIY, teach your 6 year old how to cut the grass so, you'll have more time to watch football!!

John, I'll need to repaint my Spider-Man at some point as well. May I ask what you used, and any tips for not "coloring outside the lines" so to speak?

OK, after finding Bullseye at my LCS this weekend, getting a ton of figurines from Ryan that I couldn't find (thanks again, Ryan!!), and two shipments this past week from Midtown, I think I'm finally caught up with the figurines that have been released in the US with the exception of the Green Hulk.  Whew!  Now it's just getting figurines I want as they're released.

I think it's always interesting to see how people display them.  Here's my ever-growing collection:
