Wolfsbane in the sculpting phase. I hope everyone that voted for this costume/pose is happy. I think it stinks. Glad I wasn't buying it anyway.

It's his face, like a blank slate almost. Needs some emotion. The rest looks pretty good, but boring expression. Wonder how to fix that?

Shaman is okay. Stingray in an interesting costume, tho not a character I have much connection to. Wolfsbane --- this is the New Mutant who used to be a slender little wisp of a girl, right?

I'm reminded of the first fan sketch I saw of Marina, before the first issue of ALPHA FLIGHT had come out. Based solely on the image on the cover, which Marvel had used in promotions, the fan artist had given her enormous boobs. More like water wings than anything human.Sometimes it feels as if any attempt to give characters -- male or female -- diverse builds is a waste of time. Eventually, they all get formularized into the same physiques. (This was especially annoying for me, when I tried to restore Scott Summers to his former "slim" build, when I came on X-MEN, and was told to beef him up so he would "look like a leader!")

As much as I would like to place all the blame upon the doorsteps of "generations" after mine, it should be noted, in fairness, that even Jack Kirby was guilty of this. Compare his Reed Richards in early issues of FANTASTIC FOUR to later versions. Johnny Storm, too.Even Ditko allowed Spider-Man to bulk up, and Peter Parker to become more conventionally handsome.

Looking at comics from the last several years, Heather Hudson is the one that gets me going the most. She's a Jean Grey clone now. Her unique look lasted about 5 minutes after you left AF.

JB...I seem to remember you saying you had "cast" Lisa Blount as Heather.
Was there an actress you had casted as your template for Jean Grey?

I'll pick up Shaman for the Alpha Flight set. I like his pose. Stingray is a maybe, but probably pass on Werewolf though he looks good. If it hadn't been mentioned I would never have guessed Wolfsbane on the last. Doesn't look like her human, wolf, or werewolf looks that she I recall her having. Still don't see it, but anyhow I'll be passing on it.

I just realized another reason Shaman looks so off to me. He's white!
