I think Busiek does a good job of making the stories universal, even if he is pulling out some esoteric factoid from a comic that only a dozen people read. He's also proven to be able to undo continuity concerns and I think he could fix the damage done by every writer who took the team after JB.

Another reason to love Puck: his uniform/costume is a stylized "wrestler" headgear and tights, which I just now picked up on. This pretty much encapsulates everything you need to know about Puck and his fighting style: he's a tumbler, a human cannonball with the strength of a man in very good physical condition. He's kind of like a non-mutant pint-size Hank McCoy, or a baboon to McCoy's gorilla. And if you've ever heard stories about what a baboon can do to a man, it might give a clear indication that Puck is far from a "lightweight" in any regard.

By the way, what does Puck weight in at? I've never thought about it. The shortened limbs, but the same size torso and a beefy build. I'd say he goes around 150 pounds?

Speaking of Bill Mantlo, is he still in a coma?  Last I heard he was... circa 1992 or so...

JB, did you cast a celebrity "voice" for Puck? If so, who?

Very nice commission. Alpha Flight was my favorite super group, back in the day, narrowly beating out the Avengers (with Buscema) and FF (by JB).

If you don't mind my asking, JB, would you have ever considered the role of art-robot on Alpha Flight if a suitable person had been available to take over the writing/plotting chores?

No idea how I missed this picture before, but after I saw the combo picture JB did in the other thread I had to go back and find it.  Let me add my compliments to the others here, and say how much I, too, miss JB's Alpha Flight.
