I guess I'm lucky.  I've never felt the need to join a message board to cry and moan about the rules there.

What stuns me are the people who will go out of their way to provoke other posters and even JB himself. It's a similar game  -- either rudely snapping at other posters or, whenever JB says "X", posting, "Well what about when you did Y?" Sure, if JB were the corrupt businessman on 60 Minutes, and you're Mike Wallace, that might be acceptable, but otherwise...

Echoing the "party" analogy, this is the sort of behavior that would result in your not being invited to other parties or actually having any friends. I often desperately hope that some of the behavior exhibited on the Net is exclusive to the medium; otherwise, far too many people lack very basic social skills.

I certainly do try not to notice someone's post count or join date, but I am as guilty as can be sometimes.  I've been on the flip side too, when I made a poorly worded joke about Doom Patrol, went to sleep before my night shift, and woke up to find just how misunderstood a person can be.  However, I had two hundred posts under my belt and that actually served to buffer me.

I've never been one to post all my posting milestones, probably because my eleven fingers leave me in utter contempt of your primitive base-10 math :)  But I should note that I somehow got under my own personal radar and climbed well up page two of the member list when you sort by posts.  Flavio Saphia, I am coming for YOU!

I am sorry to be such a geek, but this joke reveals to me that you read Battlefield Earth.

I just don't think much about the attacks any longer. When I first started with
The Byrne Ward on AOL, I got worked up over that stuff; now I just choose to
ignore it. Well...most of it. Sometimes it's hard. Ah, well, such is life.

"Is anyone else disturbed by how hot Marge looks in
that image?"

I find it incredible that men can be sexually aroused by a line drawing

(lol)

Even more incredible: we don't know if you are offering a criticism or a compliment!
