Keeping the wife happy is better than the addictive high you get from emailing Jim Warden, but only slightly.

commissions produce an effect similar to that which made Spock hang upside down in a tree in This Side of Paradise !

"and regarding addictions, isnt the first one supposed to be free?"

If that was the case here I'd gladly march into addiction. I'd run. Leap. However it happens. Quickly. Start the addiction for me!

waitaminute.

So JB is offering to let the customer peek at the step-by-step of the project? And JB is open to input along the way?

As an illustrator/designer, I know that that can sometimes be a real pain ("I was thinking more like having UltraMan over to the left a half inch . . ."); and I'm sure JB does too.

Seems to me this is just another example of how JB listens to his fans, and is looking to make the fans happy.

When buying a commission, part of the fun is to see how the finished product turns out. It would spoil it if I tried to second guess the artist I was paying. I don't hover over my plumber when he comes to fix the pipes. I'm confident he's a professional and will do the job I only outlined for him to do. He might even do more than I expected. Both of my commissions from JB were much better than I could have imagined. I'll just stick to saying I like Captain Phone Bone and Co. fight the Evil band of Phone Bones and let the man do his job.
