Personally, I'd go with Ultron, because he always comes back.

Man, the commissions lately have been like Homerun Derby and JB keeps knocking them out of the park!

Is this Nefaria the same one the X-Men faced in issues 94 & 95? You know, the one in the plane with Thunderbird?

I always think of Kang, Loki, and Ultron as the big three Avengers villains.

I am so jealous !
I need to stop looking at those commissions ! They are all so beautiful !
And in the new place, there is a place reserved on the wall for whatever I want to put there, and my wife said OK for something from Mister B.
I just hesitate between a commission ( there is that one that I have in mind ! ) or a original page ! I just cannot make up my mind !

One of the things Jim Shooter did very well in that first run on Avengers (can't remember exactly, but it was 150-180 or so) was having the one villain no single hero could withstand - Graviton, Nefaria, Ultron. Shooter was in prime form during that run. One gets the impression that the Avengers could have lost each of those fights, and that any other group of heroes would not have won at all. Even as great as Roger Stern's run would be, he did not create the same tension around single villains - except when he used Graviton in the West Coast limited series.

I really enjoyed that era of the Avengers. Great commission, JB.

I think he did a great job of it in the late 90's miniseries, Avengers Infinity.

Might want to toss that in the 'Coloring JB's Work' thread, John.
