The more I see of what is going on, the more I think you are moving from
1936 towards 1939
We used to say not to compare people to Hitler - it’s an easy comparison
and produces emotional responses.
But really? It’s beyond comparison now. It’s full on worship of his methods.

Today was probably the first time in John Bolton's life a Republican administration committed an illegal and authoritarian act he didn't support wholeheartedly. As much pleasure as I'd like to take in Bolton being crushed by the very machine he whorishly serviced, it's still an attack on all os us, and must be resisted. Fuuuuck.

I’m not seeing anything that says any of the following is false.
Mulling changing the department of defence to the department of war
Part nationalising intel and saying he wants as much of everything that he
can get
The aforementioned ‘I’m not a dictator’ piece above.
Going to place the national guard on the streets of numerous other cities
without those cities agreeing to it.
Jail for anyone burning the flag
How can anyone not see where this is all going?
Civil disobedience will be created by these actions, and the excuse will be
given. Bet your bottom dollar that in the future he will claim the civil
disobedience came before the national guard.
No way are you getting an election.You are getting the armyI think you’ll be
getting martial law at some point.
And where are all those second amendment clowns who were saying they
needed their guns to prevent something like this happening?
Doing the effing things on that git’s behalf because he’s made them ICE
officers.
No idea what your country will actually look like in a year’s time, but you
won’t have any freedom, but you will be told you have more freedom than
you ever had.

It might not be new, but I've been sickened this week seeing shots of Trump wearing a red baseball cap - in the Oval Office - proclaiming 'TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING'.
- No-one is EVER right about everything. - I cannot imagine what the founding fathers would think - I pity your country, as this asshole continues to trample tradition, commerce, law, and common decency in pursuit of the Great Trump Legacy.
And - hey - Trump 2028 - yet more 'greatness' to look forward to.

I'm watching Robert Kennedy testify to HHS's Senate subcommittee. Jesus, what A fruitloop. Republicans started out by agreeing not to swear him in, because testifying under oath basically amounts to one long perjury trap for a magical explorer like Kennedy. He's certainly the picture of health as his entire face twitches and he struggles to breathe. He said there's never been an honest or evidence based vaccine approval in US history, although it clearly didn't occur to him he's condemning his late Uncle Jack.
He's truly America's Failson now.
