I took the drawing I did to commemorate the 100th birthday of comic book icon Stan Lee and made this mock comic book cover using it. December 28, 1922 is the birth date of Stan "The Man" Lee, and 2022 is not only the 100th anniversary of that occasion, it's also the 60th anniversary of the first appearance of The Amazing Spider-Man in "Amazing Fantasy" #15 (1962).

That is great Matt! Wonderful likeness and well rendered. He looks so different without a mustache or glasses.

Thanks, Stephen. Yeah, it's funny how Stan in 1966, before he wore his trademark tinted glasses, and grew a beard and got his hairpiece, looked quite a bit older than he did afterwards. It definitely gave him a new look.

Much coolness this page! Baby Triceratops (I hope) is so cute!
The Legion Of Stans? The composition is reminiscent of Robert Crumb cover art (who himself drew upon earlier magazine design frames of the past). I'd probably have to buy such a comic too!

Thanks, Peter and Rebecca! Being compared on any level to the art of Robert Crumb is flattering. I wasn't consciously influenced by his compositions, but I can see what you mean now that you pointed it out.
