They were wondering why I got a picture of the Michelin Man Tire guy framed. ••• Roger Stern's wife, Carmela, tells the story of attending a Halloween parade. One of the floats had superheroes on it. She describes a mother pointing to a well-made Captain America costume and exclaiming to her child "Look! Spider-Man!" People see what they see!

As this wasn't my first rodeo with a JB commission at the 11 x 17 level, I already had my frame prepped with matting and UV protected glass before my piece even came in. Very very very and I mean very happy with this piece. My third round with a JB commission. Thanks again to JB and of course Jim Warden for making a dream come true. Hoping for more commissions in the near future.

I found a bunch of frames similar to the Thing's by Michael Arndt, except without the matting, at Wal-Mart. They fit 11x17 and were super cheap.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. Even to this day it's pretty surreal that I own JB commissions. As a kid if I would have flipped my lid at the idea and started saving like a man possessed to get one. I think my parents would have prevented it from happening, but thankfully I'm now an full fledged adult (or at least I hope so) and can now afford it. 3 ideas down, 97 more to go!

As a kid, I couldn't have even conceived of the idea that original artwork was an option. As it is, I wasn't aware of it until the early days of ebay. I unknowingly missed many opportunities through ignorance of the hobby. Hell, I lived in NYC for 4 years in the mid 90's and didn't go to local cons.

Because the Michelin Man is well known for his love of fine cigar's.
