Seems hardly anyone wants to just look at Kirby's original--except when they're being so-ooooooh cute and including the "G" on his chest.

When I drew the character I tried to distill various Kirby versions--he really didn't draw him the same way twice, even from panel to panel--and was, I think, mostly successful. Couldn't ever seem to get that massive helmet right, tho.

It was indeed gratifying when HeroClix used my version for their large figure.

Why is he snarling? Why would a being above the concepts of 'good' and 'evil' ever have anything but a calm demeanor? Those ear things...

While I wouldn’t want to see it as a representative expression, I have drawn an angered Galactus from time to time. I figure even he has his limits!

The New York Times did an interesting article about the crowdfunding of these toys, and they even feature the Galactus figure:

I have that Snake Mountain in the picture, and it sits unassembled because I have no space to display it.
