This is a spec paint -- the real painting will be done with a different type of paint, Jim was explaining to me -- sculptor "stuff" -- might as well be talking in French...

The crown jewel in my bust collection! What an amazing piece of work! Props to Pat for making this happen and to Jim for doing the sculpt!

My first response on seeing the Superman piece was "His head's too big" --
which is something editors have been saying about my work for years. So I
guess this is a really accurate sculpt!!

Nice!

I think the head is too big, but it looks like Byrne.

I looks bigger in some of the other pictures JIM sent me --- I'm thinking a little paralax error in the picture.   It doesn't have the same "big" feel in this picture taken at a more 90 degree angle (prior to paint):

With the amazing Puck mini bust coming soon from Randy Bowen I finally broke down and got Vindicator:

(I just wish it was straight from the source like JB's ;)

I now hope that Phase IV starts soon at Bowen and the twins will be part of it!

I've heard rumor from a reliable source that the twins are indeed coming soon from Bowen

Despite the art credit (Bob Kane) this goes on the "must have" list. Supposed
to come out middle of next year.

"His head's too big"

As long as they weren't talking about yours…

Remember the microcephale age of Image comics ?
The characters's tiny heads were proportionally opposite to the size
of their respective creators.

Well done, Pat. I'm looking forward to that bust arriving, mate!

That 'Bob Kane' Batman B&W looks really nice, too.
