JB: Remember, “decompression” means “we give you less per issue”.

In a time when comic book page counts were cut to 20 pages not long ago, too. I'm saddened when I read a book that doesn't give me more than a few pages of story for my money--and it seems to be happening plenty.

Tantalising!
The Magneto costumes have their tell-tale differences, but they're all so artfully concealed to keep the mystery on a knife's-edge as to who got spiked.

Nice to see Professor X given a chance to shine. So many great character moments in this book.
I have an idea on what may be happening with Alt-Jean, but I'll keep it to myself, as it sits too close to speculation on my part.

The Bang for the Buck is shrunk almost to nothing.

I like when we get to see Xavier display some compassion with his vast power – and this sequence with Ashley and Pablo is a great example of that.

I'd like to be Xavier for a moment and observe how your brain puts all this together JB. How you put the story together and how you figure out how to depict it. Long may it last!

It's great seeing Professor X as an able protagonist. I imagine the nature of his power makes him tough to write for.

The biggest problem with Xavier is that he is far and away the most powerful of the X-Men. Writers are forced to contrive reasons for him to not simply blank the memories of the bad guys (as he did to the Blob and the Vanisher in their first appearances).I’m reasonably sure Stan and Jack put him in the wheelchair to limit his scope.
