My wild, unsubstantiated guess - at some point in the future, one of the team has their powers forcibly "cured" / the mutant gene removed, and Sh'iar tech is used to give them their powers back?

Dang, I recognize that biology is child's play line but cannot place it for the life of me.
I love how alt-Jean is reacting differently than real-Jean on the ship, but no idea why - no speculation (must...control...self). I love how the two are clearly different people even excluding uniform/regular clothes but also the same.
Should be interesting to see how it all goes in future pages - we now have multiple area's to cover - which Magneto is dead (is he dead?), what happens next with the Jeans & Kitty, poor floppy hands, Alt-Angel stabbed, Charles & the kids... probably a lot more I'm forgetting. I have this image in my mind of a giant whiteboard in Mr. Byrne's house that looks like that crazy conspiracy theory persons that is used on meme's often. So many threads - some must be coming to an end soon mustn't they? Of course, maybe that is why an issue 50 was mentioned - I know I won't complain if we get to 100 or a Cerebus like 300... nah, I figure other ideas will take over before then. Either way this is a great ride.

That last panel on today's page has my curiosity at an all-time high I think! :^O
I'm afraid that Chucky doll would be involved in anything involving 'child's play', or in other words no idea.

A curious optical illusion: if I look directly at the last panel, instead of seeing Gladiator and his cape in the adjacent panel, I see an extension of alt-Jean's mask, glove, and hair. Not exact, but close enough for me to wonder: JB, was that intentional?

ITEM: In the final panel today, the "EEE EEE EEE" reminds me of Jimmy's signal watch. Yes, I know it was usually "ZEE ZEE ZEE" but not always, and that's what it made me think of.
ITEM: Clarke's Law - "A sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Is that the far off reference?
