How much dot connecting is there? They're different than us, so let's act like they're subhuman scum and they all march in lockstep with a religion we ain't. That's a LACK of dot connecting. "Who's been to Saturn? Sandworms. Ya hate 'em, don't ya?" - type justification.

Michael Thompson:
The response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and their
impact on North American culture is a topic of particular interest to me; I
read and watch items relating to the topic voraciously, and will continue to
do so.
From this interest, I have spent many, many hours reading and
contemplating the materials on five of Bosch's websites (three of his own,
two which he is a co-contributor to).
Thought you should know.

'Not disagreeing with you on that, but christians were the ones who (in the spanish conflict with the moors) coined the phrase "kill them all and let God sort them out.".
Yes, Knute, but were these Christians quoting Jesus, did they find justification for this in the actions of Christ or in the texts of Christianity and what's the name of Christianity's version of Jihad? If your mind jumps to the Crusades, they were a response to the Jihads, which were going on for over 400 years at that point, as a way to go Muslim on the Muslims who sacked Jeruselum, but the Crusades lasted for less than 200 years as the religion couldn't back them up for any longer. But the Jihad goes on today. And this is not me defending religion as I'm an atheist, but all religions were not created equal, some of better than others, even if I believe all are irrational. But no religion outside of Islam has a doctrine of warfare that was practiced by its prophet.

It takes NOTHING to say Islam is the problem. That's a lovely black-and-white approach to something that covers half the world and several centuries, a culture that is rooted in tribal loyalties and beefs, a citizenry that is largely helpless before its rulers (and subsequently manipulated to believe that the source of all their problems is somewhere else, not at home), and an energy source that compromises even the noblest intentions and turns a backwards region into the crazy uncle that's also rich, so no one wants to get on his bad side. Then to say it's all the fault of the predominant religion in the area. That's as infantile as if they were to blame us for NOT being Muslim (twist ending; that's what the radical minority does in fact do).
edit: fuckin' superfluous apostophes

Beetlejuice reference too oblique, or just not well written?

English. And Reason. And I should have said " And Beetlejuice references",
because I got that one immediately. But Kevins point was crystal clear
without the reference. Maybe it was the obliqueness of that reference that
threw Bosch off.

Al loves me. That means he thinks I sleep on a pile of women and have sex with money all day. Which is ridiculous. No one sleeps on women; too lumpy.
