First, THISAnd may I just say WOW! When I did my Xmas themed story in SENSATIONAL SHE-HULK 8, a number of hardcore fanboys wrote in (ink on paper) to express their displeasure. Disgust, even. It seemed they could accept Greco-Roman and Egyptian gods, as well as all the magical beings encountered by Stephen Strange (and others), but Santa Claus was a bit too far. Considerable foaming at the mouth—as seen in the attached item—and complaining that my little tale “destroyed” the serious foundations of the Marvel Universe. Well, for those of you who don’t have pine cones shoved up your poop chutes, I suggest you track down my story, read it with the sentiment intended, and enjoy the festive fun. Io Saturnalia!

Good lord.
1) this guy’s main gripe is you don’t explicitly say that YES, this is Santa Claus. He really needs to stop reading comic books.
2) at the time you wrote and drew this issue, Elaine Benes hadn't even been introduced yet. The SEINFELD pilot is the only episode aired in 1989 and she wasn’t even in it and you very well could’ve finished this issue before even it aired.
Why do people try so hard to knock other people down?

The issue is cover dated “Mid-November”, which means it came out during the time Marvel was adjusting its dating policies so the books would bear the actual months in which they hit the stands, instead of the long standing tradition of four months later. So it is most likely my story came out before Elaine.

"You’ll have to track down a copy to find out, because I haven’t the energy to pry this apart any more. "
This is the worst bit of the "review". Oh, he hasn't the energy to even open the comic again... Yet he has the energy to create a webpage to knock it.

****** There’s no doubt. She didn’t appear until 1990.

It didn't have to be explicitly stated who the character was, because it was obvious to anyone with half a brain. Also, that guy has far too much time on his hands to spend all that time and effort criticising such a good story. He hated the breaking of the fourth wall, but continued reading, knowing that was a trope you used in that title.

Breaking the fourth wall confounded a lot of readers. At the time I was accused of stealing the concept—as old as theater itself—from the TV series MOONLIGHTING.

>> Let’s see if you can tamp down your rage after this panel <<
He's in a "rage" over this cute little tale? A douche and a weird-o? But this is all bullspit, really. He's just yet another person with nothing to say riffing off somebody else's notoriety to vomit internet-blather.
