Speaking of power, I don't think Lilandra is going to come out of this experience in the best of health, let's say.

••

No, what's left of the Imperial Guard is not going to be happy when. . . .

Oh, wait. No. Ignore that!!!

Beautiful and exciting page today. I "see" it in that weird yellow-white-rose of psychic energy---like Jean in the solar storm on the shuttle. The merging of Prof X's and Jean's eyes is particularly clever.

Is that last panel the effect of both of them being hit by Cyclops' blast?

Thank you.

Ka-friggin'-BOOM! Bye, Phoenix (I think..) And somewhere in the cosmos, Galactus looks up from whatever he's doing and mutters "huh. That planet again...sigh."

Wow.
This is why JB is a master storyteller. Maximum impact delivered with Swiss watch precision. Truly a GREAT page.
Looking forward to how this all shakes out.

I never could've predicted where this story has gone... or is going!

(NB: that's a good thing.)

Wowsers! Page 18 is very nice! So many textures to imagine with the images. Regarding unpredictability, I have ideas, but keep them to myself. However, I do keep in mind the original idea of making Dark Phoenix a reoccurring villain.

Holy -that's one epic page.  Those fire effects are really amazing. Things are not looking good for Lilandra... But Jean seems to be in somewhat better shape thankfully (at least for the moment).

Jeez! Now that's a *conflagration*. Poor Lilandra, I hope she's OK. I love the contrast between whatever is happening to her and that pristine Jean.

Love, love, that three-eye telepathy overlap effect. It really hammers home the joining of the minds in a subtle way.

I've given up on trying to predict where any of this is going. I really love being able to do that.

One of the best parts of the ride! I love that there is no possible way I will come across spoilers. Every page is a cliffhanger!

Excellent! Unpredictable yet consistent-- I love that Xavier calls her "Jean" in spite of what he just learned. In all that chaos, it's human connection that counts. --Empathy is a force at the heart of this victory.
