Great Work Mark! I'm still struggling with page right-side on that one.

Thanks! Yeah, this is a trick one. Seeing it reduced always makes me want to change things. I think I could have used a lighter line on the buildings further back.

Mark, I’m curious about the choice to make the sky black. What
motivated that decision?

They sky is an interesting one. Looking at the pages in pencil, I saw it all as daylight -- but going back and reading the story again, it does say it's twilight as they are approaching Manhattan.

Peter, that isn’t lost on me. I always envisioned it as a coloriing effect
since solid black is a harsh way to represent “twilight”.

Eric,

I knew that the scene was night time, so decided to go full in on it from an inking perspective. I did it as layer in ProCreate after inking the page as presented, and liked it much more. It definitely could be done with a coloring effect as well.

I do like how it makes Cyclops "pop" more. This can debated, but from a design perspective I think it pulls the eye through the scene more as well, creating somewhat of a triangle from Cyclops, to the sky, to the shadows under the car near Colussus.

From a "would JB like this?" perspective, I was more worried about the liberties I took putting the lines into the Human Torch.
