It's really a win no matter what TOR work is part of it!

I was at the Artist's Edition panel and also the "IDW Big Panel" at Wondercon, and IDW has some amazing material planned.  Scott Dunbier was a wonderful host for the Artist's Edition panel, and took the audience through some fantastic slides.  Kubert's TARZAN and TOR, as well as a Will Eisner edition for THE SPIRIT will be released.  And he had a real treat in store - Jeff Smith took the stage to talk about an upcoming Artist's Edition for BONE.  I think BONE is a great book, and it was really interesting to hear Smith speak, especially about his sincere affection for Joe Kubert's work.

And of course the big highlight was seeing the one I am most looking forward to....

JB's Fantactic Four is landmark for me.  Very excited!

It's up there for me too. I'm curious if this will be early TOR work or
the ODYSSEY storyline. Kubert's work just kept getting better and
better. As cool as it would be to have an artist edition of the older stuff,
I'd almost prefer the most recent work.

---

I'm with you, Stephen. I like all of the TOR books I have, but today the
most recent series is my favorite.

Thanks for the post Tim. I like the cover for JB's Artist Edition
presented here than the one that was originally solicited.

Byrne:

Since Terry won't release his pages, making it impossible to build complete stories, I was again talking with Scott Dunbier (who handles these books) about the possibility of doing some kind of "chronology" of my time on X-MEN. A collection of pages that would span the entire run, rather than a sequence of full stories.

As this would reflect my "evolution" on the title, it's something I think I'd actually prefer to see.

---

Part of the reason why these books are so special is they feature collected full stories imho. I can see a collection of X-Men pages on The Lowry Gallery.

Hopefully Terry will release the pages at some point -- I have $$$ waiting for it!

Intriguing... may I delicately ask if there's a reason why Terry Austin won't release the pages for these editions?

That's Terry's business.  I'd love to see them made available (or in a museum display...), but they're his pages to do with as he pleases.
