Great..... But I've no interest in working it out in your typical trading
arrangement.

Bill I'd be afraid to stand those Artist Editions up vertically.  They're so big and heavy the binding might work its way loose over time.  I keep them flat.

Martin's nation's capitol thread reminded me... there's going to be some kind of Ditko Artist's Edition that includes those Amazing Fantasy 15 pages, right? Right?

AE Storage: I've got three AEs so far and just have them laying flat under the bed. With the AE count soon to be five with JB FF and Best of EC ordered, I'm going to need to find more room.

Greg I keep mine under the bed too.  I haven't found the right spot for them.  I didn't know anyone had the Best of EC for pre-sale yet.  That one will be sweet.  I bet it will be huge like the Wally Wood and Mad ones.

YES!!

A better look at the cover now that it is available for pre-order at the IDW website.  I ordered my copy!

Glad to see the classic logo on there, instead of the placeholder on that earlier cover mockup.  Very cool.

Much better looking cover indeed.  The only quibble is the font used for "Artist's Edition" - it seems off in a way.  Maybe it is me.  The colors work really well.

Jeff Smith spoke about The Great Cow Race Artist's Edition that's upcoming and mentioned, in passing, that it would be neat to see the whole Bone series (all 9 books) done that way.

If that happens, I'm in for the lot.

I'm quite eager for the John Byrne's Fantastic Four Artist's Edition. I ordered
mine from my LCS as soon as it was solicited in Previews.

I'd love to see George Perez's New Teen Titans, Darwyn Cooke's New
Frontier, and Mike Grell's Warlord get the same treatment.

…Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier…

••

I like Cooke's minimalist approach. Very reminiscent of some of the advertising art of the early Sixties. But without color, those pages would be very EMPTY. Especially on NEW FRONTIER, where he limited himself to three panels per page.

Looks like this is up on the auction block right now:

One hundred more like that should make for a nice book...
