I have not weighed in on this because to engage in this sort of discussion on a thread devoted to a commission piece is absurd.  As they say, get a freakin room.  This is not the thread for this discussion.  No one has suggested that criticism of Mr. Byrne's work is against the rules.  John has never said this.  In fact, John is often critical of his own work, especially in comparison to works of those he considers giants, like Kubert, for instance.  So do not start spreading stories about how people cannot be critcal here.  And if you persist in advancing this argument, get a room of your own.

Are you being deliberately dense?  Open your eyes and read, because that's not what Wayne said at all.  Maybe a new rule should be "reading comprehension skills required."  Sure would weed out a lot of people like you.

Neither JB nor any moderator has said criticism -- positive, negative, or neutral -- is disallowed.

But comments like the ones posted here -- e.g., "I don't like it" or "Storm is clumsily drawn" -- do not even remotely approach a critique... and they add nothing to the thread.

Nice commission JB! Another piece very well done.

Seeing photos of a commission done in stages would be very interesting and very helpfull to some of us amateur artists!
