Batman had definitely used his to glide...bat-like.

Magical levitation and jet packs providing the flight kinda takes those capes out of the equation, no?And Batman? As a kid I loved it when he used his cape as a kind of glider, but that was more “falling with style”. I’m talking a cape that provides lift and propulsion by itself.

Dr. Strange’s cloak of levitation seems the closest to me. If that doesn’t count, then I don’t think there is one that will count.
The Greatest American Hero had a suit with a cape that gave him the ability to fly, but there’s nothing to indicate that the cape was the specific part that gave him the ability to fly.

Go, Wanda! She gives our heroes their best chance at beating Magneto.

Just learned that Julia Lyndon, the PLAYBOY Playmate who was my “model” for the Scarlet Witch, died of a drug overdose in 2019. Makes me feel strangely hollow.

Quite the page today. You can feel poor alt-Scott's head being crushed. Getting very confused on who this Magneto is - love the hints each way to keep us guessing. "no more use" suggests alt-M but the helmet is 'our' M's. Pluses and minuses each way so no speculation just enjoying the hints, makes for fun reading. Can hardly wait for tomorrow to see how Wanda reacts, especially knowing this is one who isn't god level power like Marvel made her (see WandaVision and No More Mutants). More fun with non-insane level power for heroes.

I wonder if it even matters which Magneto survived. Both are utterly evil.

The gorgeous art of today's page! The dynamics of the top panel! The shadowing from brightness of the battle! The beauty of Scarlet Witch!
Amazing.

Like you, it gets to me to imagine others' lives that bespoke enduring sadness. Sure, into every life a little rain must fall...but I prefer a happy ending at least. Rest in peace.

Having looked up Ms. Lyndon, I can see where you'd find her inspirational for Wanda, JB. She was a lovely woman.
