"We HAL 6000 computers never make mistakes."

"Youre a HAL 9000 computer!"

"Oh..."

(from the MAD parody)

But does it do anything other than talk? With today's tech I expect a bit
more from something like this. Especially for $500.

Now if it has NEST integration.....

But does it do anything other than stand there?Seriously, to each his own. I
bought the HAL 9000 because of the nostalgia I have for 2001 but most
statues that can go for up to $400 don't interest me. I am glad as I already
have an expensive habit with OA.

@ Brian, it looks like a missed opportunity to me. It looks beautifully faithful to the movie prop. I think it'd be nice if it could be the front-end for a Home automation system.

Btw someone is trying to make JARVIS for reals. UI only but someone
could roll their own hardware.

The prices for the SideShow Superman is steep, but it looks to be the best Superman statue ever made, so it's a must have for me.

The HAL 9000 for $500 was tempting too.  Thanks for the pictures and write up Brian.

That Superman looks old and the cape seems really large and leather-like.

Nice, but what a sourpuss expression!
