Drawing Hawkman's helmet calls for a delicate balance.
Note that, as rendered by Kubert, the eyes are larger than human eyes, but not TOO large. Also note that Katar appears almost to be looking out from under the beak, not actually thru the eyes.

@ John ByrneJB would you ever put together a book of 'correct' styles/models of characters and vehicles from the comics world as a reference tool? I'm probably talking about something with too broad a scope for one volume though. I for one would love such a book. *grin*
