Simon, I find the Hot Toys figures look even better in person.

Flavio, where did you find those notebooks?

(More importantly, does anyone know the artist of that Wonder Woman image?)

Simon, I've got the Christopher Reeve Superman from Hot Toys and it is magnificent---absolutely looks even better in person.

Thom, I'm guessing, but I believe that Wonder Woman image is from a later style guide done by Garcia-Lopez inked by Brett Breeding. Here's another image from that guide for comparison...

A bit of weird spin on the thread:

Why are there so many weird and inappropriate science fiction and fantasy toys?

I honestly tried watching one of the video clips of that Mozart guy, and immediately found him irritating...

Just picked up from Post Office today:

The X-Plus 1968 DESTROY ALL MONSTERS Anguirus, Ultraman (Type C version), and 1968 DAM Godzilla vinyl figures.  No more shelf space to display them, so they'll have to go back into the boxes for safekeeping (yes, the tails are not attached in these photos).

Pretty much sums-up my mood right now...

Collection DX has a look at the Bandai / Sideshow Collectibles 12" C-3PO figure for $400+:

[Collection DX]

Also, Megahouse is coming out with a 1/8 scale figure of Yuki Mori from the new SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO 2199 series (Nova in STAR BLAZERS).

[HLJ Link]

I'm putting my money down on the figure with most curves for my buck... ;)

Looks like a future release in Bandai's S.H. MonsterArts figure line will be a monster with a more Western origin...

Peter Jackson's King Kong

Peter Jackson's King Kong

••

Hm. Why would anybody want a model of a silverback gorilla holding a Barbie doll?
