Although, not toys but folks may be interested in the sale that Suncoast is having on their character mugs, 3 for $10.00 (regularly $7.99). There are a lot to choose from, I bought these three:

It's amazing how good Jose Luis Garcia Lopez art is--some 30 years later and his art is still being featured in merchandise by DC. All there of those mugs are great. I've been noticing that JB's Wolverine is almost always the one featured in these "retro" products.

And almost always a shot I don't like!!! I mean, c'mon! I hadn't really learned to draw when I was working on X-MEN, but SOME of the shots of Wolverine are reasonably good! Use some of those!!

(I really wish Marvel would get in touch with people who have bought commissions of Wolverine, and use THOSE images on the mugs and T-shirts and wot-not!)

Casual Friday, here I come!  The only thing that would have made this better was if Troy was in midair.

The Wrecking Crew to join my Bowen Collection. Kept seeing it was sold out online but found it in a comic shop this past week in downtown Indy.

A general question for anyone who has bought any of the Hot Toys figures - the super realistic versions of Batman (either Keaton or Bale), Iron Man, etc.

Is the real thing as nice as the promo photos make it look? A common criticism of the Classic Figurine collection is that the advance photos of figures (especially the paint jobs) create false expectations of how good the mass produced figure will look when you finally hold it. Do Hot Toys have the same fault? The promo photos make the figures look incredibly life like and worth their high cost. Has anyone changed their mind when the final product has arrived?

Apparently Bandai's massive S.H.MonsterArts King Ghidorah figure is becoming a source of figure forum complaints regarding the wings joints being excessively fragile...
