Wow, both Batgirl figures are really nice. The Barbara with her cowl removed is stunning.

The Rhino might work if the movie took place in something pretty close to real time.

True! I'd probably just do the intro thing with him in one film, then have him escape to pop up in another, or have someone like Doctor Octopus or Chameleon bust him out as a henchman or distraction for Spider-Man. That way we'd get a few action sequences with him, but he wouldn't be the focus.

Reminds me of all those Paint-by-Numbers kits I received as a child. "Well, John's an ARTIST. . . "

I tell anyone I know NOT to buy me anything unless it comes from my LCS - just go there, give my name, and the guy behind the counter will give you something from my pull list. Yes, it's there because *I* ordered it, so technically I know what I'm getting. But look at it like a bridal registry or a baby registry - I'm just doing my part to make sure I don't get duplicates of things I want, or piles of stuff that is of no use to me.

Yeah -- not to usher in a giant thread drift, but the Anything-to-do-with-comics approach to gift-giving is one of the reasons -- a lesser one, but still a reason -- I have begged friends and relatives NOT to get me ANY gifts, no matter what the occasion.

Same as I try to impress upon them that I really don't need them saving up newspaper and magazine clippings about comics for me.

Gift giving is an art, and one I try putting a lot of thought into.  Most people don't seem to, and it's especially bad when they think it's "obvious" what the gift should be.

When I was in my early teens, I went through a very brief phase of being into Marilyn Monroe.  I had a framed poster and a ceramic mask of her on one bedroom wall, which is about as broad as my interest ran.  For at least 15 years, every Xmas and birthday it was a sure thing that half of the presents would be Marilyn Monroe related.  It got to the point where I couldn't stand the sight of her.
