Re: That Captain America statue

In edition to owning the "earlier edition" statue of the same pose, I also own a Bowen bust of Cap at the same scale. I like the bust so much more: his uniform is a deeper blue, the star on his chest isn't "fat", his head isn't bowed slightly, and his expression is determined but NOT somber.

Oh well.

I'm not sure if this fits here, but I guess he takes comissions, so it should qualify. This guy's work is incredible:

The stuff of nightmares!

JB - You ordered the Gorn two years ago, the seller was unable to fulfill the order, you were notified of this... and they still went ahead this much later and charged your credit card to send you the item? Did they send an email first, or was this a genuine surprise? Frankly, I'd have liked a little warning they were going to charge my card, considering for all intents and purposes the previous transaction was "declined."

I didn't say I did not like the change.

Another one:

The Christopher Reeve bust is amazing. (I can't post images in the forum from my iPad, apparently...)

••

Then this sentence...

"Of course, this Cap fanatic will buy one, even with the small differences!"

...makes no sense. If you are content with the changes, why qualify your comment with "even with"?

A couple of tweeks and I'd buy that. Not a fan of using the darker color in Hawkeye's cowl.

It was just stated that the statue was similar to an existing one except for the paint and base. Just context.

Perhaps if I wrote "...even if the differences are small."

Hawkeye has had many tweaked versions of his costume over the years. For me, there is the original Don Heck version and the later John Buscema version.

Ultron's head sure is making the rounds lately!
