Somewhat agreed about the Marvel statues, JB... I wouldn't mind the crudeness if they weren't charging at least $40 a pop!  Knock 'em down to $10 each and I'd gladly buy the whole bunch!

The Classic Marvel figures retail for $49.99. I have only paid that much for the Dick Tracy one that I have.  The rest I have were anywhere between 20-30 dollars.
And, that is the problem with getting the whole Fantastic Four; retail it would be $200.00.

I like old, crudely made toys -- I find them very charming! The Dark Horse line reminds me of Captain Marvel statuettes from 1946.

I am excited about this one... I love the Kirby pin-up pose they used...

Nathan, you are close.  Here are some examples of what Dark Horse based their line after.  The Superman is from 1942. The Prince Valiant, Flash Gordon and Phantom date from the late 1930's, I believe. Man, those would really be neat to own.  Like you Nathan, I love the look of these figures.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Steve.

Dark Horse is doing a pretty good job capturing that look imho!

Nice dent in the wallet after buying it!  Won't be buying any figures for a while!

Yeah it's got the parallel rolling eye mechanism as well which have a glassier, more realistic appearance than the usual painted eyes.  if you don't position them carefully it can look really weird.

This may be a pointless question with that version of the Bat-suit, but can you turn the head? I have found few things that impart a sense of "life" to a figure better than a slight turn to the head.

Keaton couldn't even turn his head while wearing the dang suit.

I'd be curious to see what you could do with posing that head- if it moves at all due to the rubber mask.
