Does anyone with the Bowen Black Queen statue know how she scales with the SA Marvel Girl and 90's Jean Grey statues? I'm on the fence with her. I already have the Sideshow AH! Black Queen, but I might get the Bowen one if she fits in with the other Jeans.

I think the X-Factor Marvel Girl looks small compared to the other statues, but Walt Simonson's X-Factor run was one of the first titles I collected, so I have an attachment to that particular costume. And I think it unlikely that Bowen would do another X-Factor Marvel Girl.

I have the Original Marvel Girl pre-ordered, so all I would need are a Bowen Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. I'm hoping they re-do them, because I don't like the previous sculpts (which the X-Factor MG reused.) Plus they are horribly expensive on the secondary market.

I have the green miniskirt model, but I have no interest in the other two versions, so scale is not an issue. However, if you want a good representation of Jean, look for this one.

It's not by Bowen, but the scale is as close as you'd want.

Me too Michael, I love the post-Fall of the Mutants uniforms.

New arrivals from Bone Clones. Gorilla, horse, wolf, puddy tat.

The horse skull is, as some of you already know, central to my thesis that dinosaur skulls have been incorrectly restored. Since the skulls are so SCARY, we give them scary faces. But it's hard to find a skull scarier than the horse, a creature with one of the most benign faces in the animal kingdom.

I've long thought that dinosaur bones to restoration looks off - it just looks like they put form fitting hide over the skull. Where's the musculature?

Pretty much any of those skulls bares this out.

Maybe it's time for some of those people who recreate faces from skulls to apply that tech to dinosaur skulls - build in parameters from as many existing types of anumal as possible (that are relevant) and go from there. Obviously it will be more complicated than that but as a starting idea to then be fleshed out (no pun intended) it might be worth doing.
