Not sure these entirely count in this thread, but my fascination with skulls led to the recent purchase of a couple of new ones.

A 2.5 year old…

…and a 31 week fetus…

Replicas, of course. The fetus skull is so SMALL!! About the size of my fist. I'm thinking about picking up, also, a chimpanzee fetus, for comparison.

I like that Wonder Woman vs Superman, as near as I can tell.  I can't find any decent shots of facial closeups of WW to see how good the sculpt is on her.  Nevertheless, while I am mildly tempted, I won't be buying it.  I keep my collection very small and selective, with Wonder Woman only related figures.

I was even more tempted by this piece, which is one of the best sculpts of WW I have seen.  I even toyed with buying it, and some how removing Batman from the base but I don't think it's a practical idea.  At best I figure I'll end up with a piece that is impossibly lopsided; at worse, I would break the whole thing.

I guess thee and me will have to agree to disagree on that one, Thom! I pick up as many Wonder Woman sculpts as I can, since the poor lady is so sadly underrepresented, but I passed on that one.

Doesn't help that I'm not crazy about the Batman, either!

I mentioned upthread, I think, that even tho I had the "bust" I decided to pick up the Terrax statuette.

It's kind of an odd experience, when I see Terrax in any form. He was one of the first character designs I did for Marvel (so there's that whole My-Character-is-as-"real"-as-one-created-by-Stan-and-Jack weirdness), and I often wonder what he would look like if I were designing him today.

Contrary to what most people seem to think, Terrax was NOT my attempt to design a "Kirby character". I was very much influenced by John Buscema's designs when I doodled up Mr. T.

I just googled Terrax, and found that the "look" of the character has not change much from when you originally introduced it. To me that says allot about it being a great design.
