Another pick-up today while Christmas card shopping:

Hallmark's Classic BSG Cylon Centurion ornament:

The 4 sound clips it plays are definitely taken from the 1978 show (including the famous "By you command"), but sadly there are no lighting effects like the previous Robby The Robot ornament.  The Cylon rifle and sword match the actual props I saw at the BSG exhibit when it was at the Sci-Fi Museum at Seattle Center.

Did anyone ever do Bernie's original Swamp Thing (I mean, from his own title, not the first story)?

LEGO gets Tolkien!  Or rather, according to the article, Jackson.

Speaking of Legos, I picked these up the other day. Well, the Lex Luthor and Catwoman sets. There are also a Batmobile set with Two-Face and a Batcave set with Poison Ivy, Robin, and Bane.

I had lost interest in Legos for a really long time, but I kind of got sucked back in with the "Mars Attacks"-like Alien Conquest line.

My son just got a few of the Alien Conquest sets for his birthday last week.  Very fun stuff!

For the superhero stuff, I'm waiting for Marvel sets, which should be out late Spring/Summer.

That Lex set is a bargain - Lex, Superman, and Wonder Woman all together? I'm IN. I'll have to pinch pennies for anything else though - Lego can be pricey!

One of my favorite Batman villains. He will look neat with the Bronze Tiger.

Catman is one of your favorites?

That kind of statement never ceases to amaze me. Takes me back to when I was working on the Superman reboot, and learned very quickly that every single character was SOMEBODY'S favorite.

Catman has been given a new lease on life over the past 6 years due to the Secret Six comic. Lot's of folks love him these days, so it's no longer the same as someone saying "Geez, I love Zebra-Man!!!"...
