I've been a hard-core Obama supporter from the get-go, and it is my hope that he get the party nomination (which at this point, looks likely, even after yesterday's upsets) and that he will win the nomination.

If Hillary gets the nomination, I will resign from the Democratic party.   Looking at her voting record, she is no different than McCain, and I'm sick of haivng to hold my nose while voting.  I didn't believe in Gore or Kerry or even Bill Clinton, and certainly not Hillary Clinton.  I believe in Obama.  I have faith in Obama.

A vote for Hillary is a vote for more of what we've had for the last 8 years.

It's perfectly reasonable to debate the best way to get children to read but personal attacks like that are what got the unpopular Bush reelected in 2004. Many people who were unhappy with him still voted for him because what they mostly heard from the democrats were atacks on  Bush rather than solutions to problems.

Unlike the attacks on John Kerry from the Republicans in '04 without also offering solutions?  No one party can take the high road where this is concerned.

What do you expect from someone who's proudly proclaimed that he himself doesn't read the newspaper and only skims reports given to him?

If I tell you that i want the best looking yard(education) on the block and then pulled out all bushes and grass (No Child Left Behind)...you would assume that I was going to replant or bring in a designer...If I then started pouring concrete(cutting proven programs) in place of any foliage you might start questioning my definition of Yard.

I don't mean to be a mind reader I just don't think he thinks smarts is all it's cracked up to be.

"She had it, so why shouldn't it count?"

----

Ok, so let's say it technically counts...still, it was through somewhat suspect means, since she was never elected by anyone to have that experience. Maybe she should have an (*) placed whenever she makes a comment about it.

Doesn't it seem odd to anyone else that she put up with multiple bouts of infidelity, including the most public marital humiliation in American history, and did not divorce him? Having the name "Clinton" was just that important to her, as collateral for her planned presidential asperations.

(editied to add that the last line is just my opinion, I should not be speaking for her)

Talk about mind reading...I don't suppose she may love him even if he is a jerk...It has happened.

Don, I did make my edit right before you posted - I realized that that veered into mind reading.

That said....that's a whole LOT of love if that were true.....sorry, I'm just too cynical to buy that.

I'm an Obama man as well, but you can't honestly believe Hillary would just continue Bush Administration policy...can you?  That her administration would be indecipherable from the one that came before?

What happened between Hillary and Bill is, as far as I'm concerned, no one's concern except Hillary and Bill.  A candidate's personal life has virtually no bearing for me.  The only thing that really bothered me about the affairs was Bill's attempts at denials, despite the fact that the American public clearly did not care.  Hillary handled herself through the situation with total Class.

Maybe she stayed with him because she loves him, maybe she stayed with him for political gain.  Who knows?  There's little doubt that Hillary is a pragmatist, and it's one of the things I admire most about her.  Politics is a dirty and rough business, and you need someone equipped to go in fighting.  I have little faith that an idealist equipped with rhetoric and vague promises has any hope of making changes in our system.

Slightly drifting, but in reference to Hillary's failure to pass universal Health Care previously: show me a person who has never failed, and I'll show you a person with no experience.  I've no doubt that Hillary can and learn from her failings.

s'cool Vinnie sorry I posted so quickly.....

Marriage is an odd beast and people get together and stay together for many reasons....The fact is it's none of our business who he or she sleeps with.  or how they manage their marriage.

Mike, I agree. It'll take a different tone and some policy changes will occur...there will be some tax breaks for middle class folks...but it will essentially be the same.

True....their dirty laundry should not have been made so public, but since it has, one can't help but question her motivations after the fact, particularly since it became so public. In the game of politics, a woman simply accepting a husband's constant womanizing is not the best role model for other women.

Not that this should have any bearing on her politically, I also unfairly wonder just what was so bad about Hillary that Bill felt the repeated need to cheat on her.
