Why would you clarify my point?  What about my point needed clarification, unless, as I "assumed", you "assumed" that I was refering to your specific conversation.  Which it clearly did not, otherwise, you would not have needed clarification.

In summary - you made a ill-informed assumption, and I made a wise and informed assumption.

WTF?

Did I not ask you a straight-out question as to just what you felt constituted tut-tutting?  And I get the nonsensical response above?

In summary, Mike, you shouldn't try to make assumptions when it comes to reading someone else's mind.  You're not cut out for it...

No, you set up the question in terms of what you're discussing, which is not what I was talking about.

You're trying to look smart, but you're just coming off like a fool.  You really need to stop while you're behind.

Mike, you've got Bush hitting the airwaves tonight to warn about a looming recession crisis and McCain suspending his campaign.  Both are Republicans and both are warning of the threat of recession, albeit a month late.  You specifically addressed "Republicans" when you offered your "tut-tutting" comment, didn't you?

So, what the hell are you talking about?

Talley, maybe you can help Mike out, and tell me how the following is something more than a question:

"Is talking about a recession "tut-tutting" the prospects, Mike?  "

Ah!  I see, now, where the confusion lie - I was talking specifically about people noting earlier in the thread about how things aren't so bad, and Democrats are big cry babies when it comes to things like this.

Lesson learned here?  Asking questions to try to teach via the Socratic Method doesn't always work out the way you planned.  You got a question about what I wrote, don't try to be cute, explain the context next time.

I think that's a question for the "My Big Fat Gay" thread, isn't it?

Here in DC -- like ancient Greece -- politics are often flavored with homosexuality.  (That's why you don't tap your feet in public restrooms.)
