Nixon was a lawyer.
I am not saying being a lawyer is the only thing you need , but it is an important key to being good at that job.
A legal background certainly is an asset, but it shouldn't be a qualification to be president. Some of our most successful presidents, including Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, weren't attorneys
I agree but I really feel after the last eight years we need someone that has a respect for the law.
Honestly, I'm not sure there is any job that truly prepares a person for being president. I imagine it's pretty overwhelming and intimidating, no matter who you are or what you've done.
