Dublin is closer to Moscow than Alaska

I think you meant to say Anchorage, not Alaska.  Alaska is a whole lot closer to Russia than Ireland is.

But your statement is true, Dublin certainly is a lot farther away from Alaska than it is from Moscow.

42.2 people (30% of the Russian population) across 13.1 million square kilometres (77% of Russia). 3 people per square kilometre so that's why you'd think it was less.

Alaska has 626,932 people across 1.7 million square kilometres. Less than one person per square kilometre.

Not sure of your point?  Look at the population of Canada compared to it's land mass.  Are you saying something negative about Alaska compared to Russia since that would also then apply to Canada?

I'm just curious for those on here who have said they agree with Palin's policies, what are the ones your talking about? I have to assume some of you are against gay marriage but don't have the balls to say so. Do you agree with her abortion policy? Her stance on creationism teaching? Abstinence only sex-ed? What?

I just can't believe any rational human being would rather have an evangelical christian, who uses her faith to guide her public policy in the White House, than Obama or Biden. Have the last 8 years taught you nothing?

Good thing Palin isn't running for President.

She is running as back up President, like Lydon Johnson did. So contrary to what the republicans want us to believe, her politics/record is important.

again:

I'm just curious for those on here who have said they agree with Palin's policies, what are the ones your talking about?

We can dream, wouldn't it be cool if that was no longer an issue, it was something we just took for granted. I never understood being opposed to gay marriage, shouldn't we be more worried about stupid people getting married? LOL

I meant the head of government i.e. in Moscow. Dublin is closer to Moscow.

Not sure of your point?

Just providing people with facts. I, like others, thought Siberia had a smaller population. Its not small just small when spread over the vast size of the territory. Though not as small as Alsaka's territory/population ratio.

The City of Dublin is closer to the city of Moscow, the capital of Russia where their leaders are based, than either the state of Alaska or the City of Anchorage. He did not say that Alaska was not close to Russia.  He knew what he meant to say.

I wish. Politicians are for watered down rights that please nobody over here and we're more liberal than the US will ever be! Irish senator, David Norris (who's case led to the legalisation of homosexuality) referred to our pending civil unions as the equivalent of a dog license. End of rant. Back to US politics.
