Jason: If Obama loses, I think
"failure to pick Hillary for his running mate" will go down as the
biggest error of his campaign. I almost wish Biden's comments
yesterday were some sort of prelude to his stepping down.
I don't think it was not picking Hillary that was his mistake; I think it was the 100% wrongheaded way the campaign responded to Palin that has cost him his lead.

And the choice of Palin was somehow right? For the country? The Bushites and Neocons have sunk their hooks into her already.

The whole point of NATO is mutual defense
Yep. I can't imagine any candidate giving a different answer. If they did, they most definitely aren't fit for the White House. There is a difference between declaring war and leaving the option open.

If by 'Bushites and Neocons' you mean 'people who have worked on prior republican campaigns', and by 'sunk their hooks into' you mean 'are working on her campaign', then... well, you might be right.
Tactically, she seems to have been a brilliant choice. For the country? That depends on your stance on issues. I'd probably vote for her over Obama or Biden.

It's looks like it's going to come down to Ohio. The good thing is whoever gets elected will owe everything to the Buckeye State and can ignore the rest of you for 4 years!! My local paper had a man-on-the -street thingy and everyone interviewed was voting for Obama. Of course, I live so far North it's practically Canada. It's the southeast Ohio counties that re-elected Dubya.

I just want someone who won't be led around by the same extremists who guided Bush and the rest of our country into this shithole. Prior to Palin, I would have even been happy with McCain. Another eight years of this, and we'll all be living in tents, eating dogfood.

I just came across this article. With all the Obama supporters blasting Palin for not being available for questions it's a bit ironic.

I lived in Ohio for almost two decades. I haven't been down to Appalachian country but I've read some people there have an issue with Obama's race. Ohio is an interesting state; one part North, one part Midwest, one part South.

"Youngstown" is one of my favorite songs by Bruce Springsteen (on the "Ghost of Tom Joad" album).

Somehow, I don't really think Palin is the sort that would be just led around by anyone. Mother of five and has a gun. Any questions?
On another note, who, in the middle of all this talk of "change" is entertaining the notion that McCain and Obama are both Skrulls?

I cannot speak to some of the things the blog claims Obama won't release
but I'll say this: I would never release my client lists without their consent,
and might not even then. Much of the work I have done is highly
confidential. To me thats not a dodge. As I said I can't speak to the other
claims.
