I think it's pretty clear that homeless people should be able to vote; but there needs to be some way of allowing it without leaving it wide open for fraud.  Simply registering with the address of a local church or shelter is probably not secure enough... I could imagine a whole lot of college students registering in multiple districts.

I'm not sure what the answer ought to be.  I suppose ID cards and state databases could work, but that brings in other fears.

Wait a minute. How the hell did a suggestion of a popularity contest turn
into a issue of censorship?!?!

I don't think ID cards should lead to those kinds of fears, Kieth.

Censorship?  The government is stepping in and regulating what we say?

No, Scott.

No, you've made the suggestion a number of times that my behavoir is not fit, and that there is something wrong with me, and by playing the "consider the source" card, you're making the assumption that it's a given that my postings are agreed upon by a majority to be considerable as a "source" to be considered.

I say - stand by your words.  Let's put it to a vote.  Let's participate in democracy.  What's the matter, Scott?  You seem pretty sure that I'm some monster.  Don't you think you'd win?

Scott, you blatantly ignored my request to stop with the in-fighting as you posted your response to Mike after mine.  I'm asking you both to go back on topic.

Matt you are incorrect.

It took me almost an hour to put together my post.  When I started it you had not yet made your request.  I didn't see it until after I posted, hence my edit.

Mike is the one who refused your request.

I'm ending it now though regardless of what Mike may post from this point.

So when you went back to edit it, you couldn't have taken the entire post down to comply with the request?

Love ya, Mike, but you both need to stop with one-upping the other.
