It's like putting lipstick on Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham.

Sarah Palin is not a Spider-Ham or a Spider-Pig.  Those are all creations of the liberal elite.  I know you must be talking about her because she wears lipstick.  So you must be talking about her.  Sexist.

Scott:

Regarding Marxism and Obama what the heck are you talking about?  Here's your original post:

The reason my right leaning items trumped my left leaning items is purely because of the current world environment.  IMO, I feel Obama would lead this country in a Marxist direction.  You can't have rights and freedoms if you don't have a country in which you can express those rights and freedoms.  I'm about checks and balances.  If the house or the senate were Republican controlled there would have been enough checks and balances in place to make me possibly consider Obama.  But, Obama, with the current Congress, would be able to steamroll way too many extreme things through with no one having their foot on the brake.

To support it you linked to a New York Times Editorial by Bill Kristol. Reading Kristol's piece he's not discussing Marxism as an economic theory -- rather he is comparing Obama's now infamous "Guns and faith" gaffe with Marx's famous line that "religion is the opiate for the masses."  Kristol is not claiming that Obama endorses Marx's economic views on his religious views.  How do you relate that editorial back to the post quoted above in bold?  Seriously, what fiscal or national security policy issues do you find Obama more liberal than Clinton?  Do we agree that Obama and Clinton are both in your plus column for "social issues?"

Put my Obama sign in my front yard and already managed to piss off my neighbor. Loves McCain. Funnily enough he's my brother-in-law.

Edited to add: My neighbor is not McCain. I'm sure you know that but just in case.

Things about Sarah Palin America really wants to know.

What's your favorite rifle?
What kind of pickup do you drive?
What's your favorite pistol?
Do you now or have you ever chewed tobacco?
Do you field-dress your own mooses?
What's the limit on your Bass Pro Shops credit card?
Jack Daniels or Jim Beam?
What's your favorite Hank Jr. song?
Jeff Gordon..straight or gay?
Have you ever clubbed a seal?
Budweiser or Miller?
I've heard you have a sister. Is she hot too?

The only way to believe Obama will lead the US in  "Marxist direction" is to start with almost no knowledge of Marxism.

On a not so complely unrelated note, I've read that in late October, Antarctic Press will release comic book bios of McCain and Obama. Who's life would make a more interesting comic book?

This should be better than a one on one basketball match between Barry OBomber and Sarah Barracuda.

Some social issues.  I'm not at all for full socialized medicine.  I'm not for free college for everyone.

If you manage a multi-million dollar nationwide campaign, you are an "empty suit".
If you are a part time mayor of a town of 7000 people, you are an "experienced executive".

David Plouffe is running for President?

Wheras it would be interesting to read abuot the Keating 5 scandal and the trials and tribulations of a man deciding to vote against MLK holiday, I can say, I've read the book version of Obama's life, and that story is awesome.

Hate to be the one to shine light on this for you, but...

Neither is Obama.

I'm not for free college for everyone.

This one I don't have a strong opinion on, but I'm curious - why?  Should we charge for pre-college education?  Should only the rich afford a higher education?  Is that really what's best for America?

By the way - I wish I could put up an Obama yard sign... my apartment complex has a strict policy about not putting up any outside decorations.

I've noted, happily (especially considering the VERY RED part of California I'm living in!) that many of my neighbors have been putting Obama swag up, briefly, before it's taken down by the management.

Me?  I follow rules, so I don't even bother putting it up, but once inside my apartment?  It's Obama town!
