No, Jodi - I have no intention of ever going down that road again!

Hey, does anyone remember if there's some sort of election happening or
not? How 'bout we talk about that for a while?

I'm getting a bad feeling about this thread. 200 pages of civil discussion, and then after that I've at times felt like I've dropped into the middle of the last third of Cerebus the Aardvark.

Quick, we need some cute pictures of kittens to get people back in the mood and I don't know where to find them.

I'm thinking I should go back and edit my responses to Mike above. It
strikes me not everyone is going to pick up on the fact that I was being
self-deprecating there...

I like Jodi's idea of kittens.

I wish somebody intelligent and well spoken that we haven't heard from in a
while like Zaki Hasan would drop by and let us know what he's thinking
about the election.

EDITED TO ADD: Well, I liked Jodi's first idea of kittens...

Obama has to be ready to slap Biden up side the head.  This happened just an hour ago.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

NASHUA, New Hampshire (CNN) — Joe Biden told supporters at a town hall Wednesday afternoon that Barack Obama might have been better off choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

“Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight,” Biden said testily when a voter told Biden he was glad the Delaware senator had been chosen and not Clinton.

“She’s a truly close personal friend and she is qualified to be President of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be Vice President of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me,” he continued.

"I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate.”

After dropping out of the presidential race in January, Biden refrained from endorsing either Obama or Clinton — unlike most of the other Democratic contenders who followed. He told donors at a fundraiser in Boston Wednesday morning that after his withdrawal, Obama asked for his support but Biden declined because of his relationship with Clinton.

It's no secret that I don't support Obama, but I really have to feel bad for him when his own VP choice says something like that.

Sounds like he may be trying to set himself up as her running mate in 2012 if 2008 falls through.
