I think they set up a vast network of domestic terrorist cells disguised as coffeeshops.

Those bastards.  I bet KFC is in on it too.  They have a secret chemical in the chicken that makes you crave it fortnightly.

But Fox News is "Fair and Balanced".

They say so.

Fox News is far from unbiased.  MSNBC has really given up all attempts at neutrality.  I think Matthews and Olberman love Obama more than O'Brien does.

They just might, Geoff! I found myself answering a KFC craving this weekend. Original recipe, of course.

And as a McCain/Palin backer, this whole "lipstick on a pig" controversy is nonsense. It's a common, and harmless, expression.

And you're right about Fox News and MSNBC -- both are equally biased.

Head, Move! Its like Sputnik.  It has its own weather systems.  I think I've upset the boy.  Do you think he's going to cry into his massive pillow?

Anthony LaPaglia's reactions in that scene are priceless.

Love, love, looove SIMAAM. Best Myers movie ever. And it has a cameo by
Steven Wright!

What's the origin of "lipstick on a pig"?

It is a very old political saying.

Having said all of that, I felt that when Obama made the comment, his audience definitely made the connection in their minds right away, judging from the response. It was laughter mixed with applause.

They were laughing because John McCain says he will "bring about change" when his record shows otherwise, it was funny because he was calling a hypocrite out. Duh!!!!!

After years of aiming cheap jabs at prominent women in the Democratic party like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi, when did the GOP become oversensitive to perceived sexist comments?

I am now giving a standing ovation to Michael Roberts

~And just an FYI, the term "Bitch" to intelligent, strong minded woman, is not a bad thing, we look at it as a compliment. :0)

***************************

Wasn't it actually the McCain campaign who compared her to a pig???  Shouldn't they apologize and not Obama?

This is just typical Republican politics. Distract, distract, distract.  Issues?  What issues?  Distract, distract, distract.

Obama's reponse:  http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/10/happening-no w-obama-says-enough-is-enough

Edited to add link.
