"So, Knut, do you think that babies who are born alive should be denied medical care and even left to die in sinks or broom closets just because their mothers don't want them?"

Do you believe that when babies are born in such a bad shape that their death is 100 percent guaranteed (with absolutely no statistical margin of error) to occur within days (at most), doctors should be legally required to prolong their pain and suffering (and the emotional pain of their family) for as long as humanly and technologically possible?

It is a game that two can play.

...Sarah Palin enjoys a very high approval rating...

So does W. in Texas. What's your point?

Here's an interesting news story from Alaska: Sarah Palin's approval rating among Alaska residents is now at 82%.

In other words, more than four out of five constituents think she's doing a good job. That's according to a Democratic pollster who tracks such things in the state.

Sure, Palin's Vice-Presidential nomination had something to do with this. After all, her approval rating was "only" 80% in early August.

Another thing to point out is that Alaskans are getting huge energy rebates from the state. I'd give my governor high approval ratings too if I were getting a big check.

Jodi, did you listen to the whole video?

That video explicity states she did nothing illegal and everything she did was completely within existing Alaskan state laws.  And she says she never applied any pressure and that any pressure applied was without her knowledge.

Alaskans have gotten energy rebate checks for decades. It's nothing new -- probably something they take for granted by this point.

Alaska Population : 683,478  out of that, lets say over half approve of her , that would put it at, lets say 400,000 ( feeling generous )

Her approval rating in Alaska is between 80-90%

Huge?  A woman I work with who just left Alaska got a few hundred dollars.  That's far from a huge rebate.

Wow.  Wish I could view "a few hundred dollars" so casually.

When you look at the cost of living in Alaska, it's extremely small.
