John Bodin you just can't attack Pakistan because you feel like it.

Do the cops level the block you live on because a murderer is holed up in someone's house there?  They usually don't.

Caribou Barbie?  LOL, some of you guys sound like you've either been in prison or on a naval vessel too long (or anyplace else away from women) if you think Palin looks like a Barbie doll.

Sheesh!  Palin is at best a 3 out of 10 on the meter even if she hears things.

Anyway, this isn't a unipolar world John.  Bombing Pakistan would just create more trouble than it already has.  Say we attack them and they decide to give Iran whatever else they need to get nukes and then Iran gives it to Hezbollah and Hezbollah gives it to Hamas and pretty soon your neighbor has one (well, maybe not your neighbor).

Yikes!  We want to end wars not start new ones.  Right?

Neither Obama nor McCain have addressed what to do about the Cylons.

In the guys defense it was I who brought Caribuo Barbie to the forum, I read it on another forum. Someone had posted it as John McCranky and Caribou Barbie It cracked me up so I wanted to share it.

OK McCain got more people to watch him. but Obama got more donations after McCain spoke, kind of tells you what all those people thought of McCain.

Or are you merely spreading rhetoric around?

I know that, Michael -- I completely agree with everything you posted . . . unfortunately, we don't have emoticons around here, and I guess the wry, sarcastic smirk I had on my face while typing my reply didn't come though with the rest of the post.  Sorry about that.

Hey, no problem.  I am pretty easy going.

One thing that annoys me is I wonder if we know where Osama is and keep him out so we can have this bogeyman terrorist we can always point to.  I know I am thinking pretty crazy but come on.  You mean to tell me this one guy can hide out for all these years in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan and we can't get him?  I don't know.  It sort of makes me sad.

Sometimes I honestly wish everyone had nukes.  MAD worked with us and the "commies" for years so why not everyone else?

On another topic, I don't think it matters how many watched McCain's show.  I am with Jodi on that one.  They probably were all men who wanted to catch a glimpse of Palin, the new hot tamale.

BTW, my wife liked the "Caribou Barbie" reference, Jodi -- thanks!

The Democratic convention was the most watched political convention ever; it held the title for a week, and then the Republican convention narrowly edged it out.

I think that's great.  More people are paying attention to both sides.  The more people pay attention, the better off we'll all be.  I would love to hear that the bulk of the 40 million people that watched the conventions haven't made up their mind yet.

Ay!  Carefull what you wish for, Keith.  I think the best thing the GOP has going for it is committed Republicans voting the "values" and religion ticket.

I think undecided voters vote with their stomaches and will likely pull the lever for Obama.

Er, which is why, by the way, I'm sure Obama is going to win.

You forgot animal rights activists.  Not ALL nut jobs are conservative.

Craig - I forgot to address this earlier - you are 100% correct.  The ALF are a bunch of whacked out nuts.  I don't say that because of my feelings about animals (they're tasty!) but because I've spent 30 years living on meds derived from animal testing.  I hate those ALF screws.  And those morons in PETA, too!

Also, Craig - I was born and raised in San Francisco - sure, sure, I miss the arts and culture now that I live in the Red part of California, but I tell you what... I am SO glad to be away from the dumb ignorant knee-jerk reacting screw-jobs that make up the public face of politics in that town.  They're lunatics.

So, yes, I agree, 100% - not all nuts are conservative - but I bring up the conservative nuts to bolster certain points I was making.
