I really like Jon Stewart , I watched him on Oprah and he is so smart and funny, seems like a real family man, got a good vibe from him. I expect him to crack on Obama, I enjoyed the Clinton jokes that were out there when he was in office by Letterman.
Added:
I worship Stephen Colbert, even though I constantly spell his first name wrong. He's amazing
I do too and he makes really yummy ice cream too!

you seem to lack any ability whatsoever to get beyond Republicans = EVIL, Democrats = GOOD.
********
Sorry, Jodi, but that's how you often come across to me, too. That may not be your intent, as you seem like a nice person, but you do seem to have an "Us vs. Them" mindset about politics, at least from your posts here.

Olbermann is as 'over the top' on his news show as he was on 'Sportscenter'. Both news and sports die-hards regard him as a self-promoting windbag.
***************
As a die-hard sports fan, Keith Olbermann moving into "news" (and I use that term loosely) was the best thing that ever happened to sports broadcasting.
I absolutely couldn't stand him when he worked in sports. Like Bob said, he was a "self-promoting windbag". But as a regular SportCenter viewer, I couldn't avoid him.
But now, I can completely avoid him. As long as he stays on CNBC, I'll never have to see him again. Yippee!!

I can see where you say that and I am working on it, thanks Bruce for seeing thru my "Bush issues" and thinking I might be nice, I honestly mean that too.
I have such a distain for Bush and what he has done to the country I love so much, I think I need to remove myself for posting in the Presidential thread because even though I am pissed at Bush, all republicans get the spill over and for that I am sorry.

Geoff,
I couldn't disagree with you more.
Wouldn't be the first time, Marc! How do you disagree? Do you think Olberman is fair? Do you think he is without agenda or bias?
As to John Stewart I think he's a comedian. He does not put himself forward as a legitimate news source. Olberman does. Chris Wallace leans right but at least he tries to be fair. George Stephonopolus leans left but he has tried to be fair. Tim Russert has a strong democratic background and he was exceedingly fair. Olbermann is, like O'Reilly, completely biased and his commentaries and questions are agenda driven.

Joel I believe I have said on here I think McCain is a pretty good republican
Come on Jodi. Everyone knows you love your country and have strong views. I'm glad you do! But you are far from even handed (which is also your right). You say now that McCain is a good republican, but you've lumped him in with Bush repeated through this thread. And you agreed with the heinous commercial which completely mischaracterized his position on the war and American Involvement in Iraq. You supported what Clark said. Believe me I know I am far from perfect and I also know I fail to be evenhanded all the time but I usually try to call a strike when I see one regardless of whether the pitcher's uniform is blue or red.

Thats just silly, Jodi. Your opinions have as much value as anyone else's here. You shouldn't stop posting you 've made some great points in this thread and I (mostly) enjoy posts. Disagreement is not a personal attack. Keep posting.

I agree with Geoff. You should keep posting, Jodi -- your opinions are just as valid as anyone else's.

But I was told this board leaned right pretty hard and I guess your post shows that opinion.
I was thinking the exact opposite. To me, it seems this board leans far more left than right.
Though, when compared to you Jodi, the rest of the board it definitely far to the right. You are probably the most left leaning regular that I've seen :)

Maybe the most left-leaning American regular that you've seen, Scott.
Surely Knut and I lean further...

Thanks Bruce and Geoff I appreciate it, I am not stopping to post because of anything anyone said that made me mad, I went back and reread some of my posts and I agree I sound like the bitter democrat. Not a pretty side of me and honestly not a true picture of who I am.
Am I a bitter Bush hater, yes that would be an understatement, but I have thrown a lot of you in with him by way of "guilt by association"., not fair and not someone I like being.
I think people like Rush and Bill'O were wrong for being attack dogs and I had to look at my posts and say "am I really much better?" Maybe when I resolve my "Bush issues" I will come back and show you R's the error of your ways ;0). kidding!!!!!!
Edited to add: Posted this before seeing others posts, Scott I think we just had a moment , I saw that smiley face! and when you said :"I was thinking the exact opposite. To me, it seems this board leans far more left than right." That tells me that it must be balanced because, if you can anger both sides, then you are most likely in the middle. Al keep'em real!
