No reason why he can't go into entertainment law.  Has he considered that?

Yeah he has, in fact he has taken all the classes he can fit in, that would be useful if he does go in that direction.

He just got chosen to direct the summer HD movie at his college , which they pick an outstanding Junior to do it. He has been filming all this summer, the movie wraps in August. In the winter the movie premieres at the Indianapolis I-Max.

He loves it so much, the cautious mom wants him to go into a more stable career like law, but he has such a passion for the process of making movies. The mom that loves him to pieces wants him to follow his dreams. I remember when he was a kid (about 8)  he got a role in a play and had to wear face makeup and I was scrubbing his face trying to get it off and I say "man don't you hate this" and he looks up at me bright eyed and says "No I LOVE it!" . I see that same bright eyed kid when he talks about directing this movie. It is just such a tough field to go into I worry for him.

Good luck to him.  Has he thought about film school then?  Does IU have a film school?

Thanks, He is attending Ball State University, he is a senior this coming school year, which has one of the best T-comm departments in the country. When he was applying to colleges, his dad and I told him he could attend any school he wanted, but after researching all the schools he picked one 15 minutes away, because of their T-comm program.

I was hoping he would go to IU but Ball State has really worked well. He did say the other day that if he does decide to go into law, IU would be the school he will pick.

How's your baby doing?

"I was surprised that someone could be put to death for that crime, I didn't even know that was a sentence they could give. I am surprised 4 thought it was OK."

And I was surprised that Obama took this position on it...interesting.

U-Ball? Anything like T-Ball?

(Yeah, I know; I get it. Reminds me of how much I wish Simon Fraser had a
middle name like Thomas...)
