 | I was shocked, he was a mighty fine reporter. Never quite knew if he was D or R which tells me he was good at his job. He is added to my list of "I can't believe they died"

 | Steve Irwin You couldn't believe a guy who wrestled aligators could die? I was shocked he stayed alive as long as he did! Really surprised how sad I am about Tim Russert. |

 | I just saw it on the TV news and wanted to get online and announce it.  No surprise that someone beat me to it.  I just watched a profile of Russert on CBS Sunday Morning a few weeks ago -- he loved his job, that's for sure.  And we all benefitted from it. Will be missed. |

 | You couldn't believe a guy who wrestled aligators could die? I was shocked he stayed alive as long as he did! That's okay, because now his annoying, precocious nine-year-old daughter's the cash cow for that family. |

I will only say this about Steve Irwin: while I found his show to be entertaining to watch, I never learned a single thing about animals or their behavior from him.

 | I learned that his wife Terri, was a "sexy Shelia" and how to annoy my husband by saying "Crikey" all the time. Added: she enjoys the democrats, is an atheist (life long - she just never had any thoughts for any gods) and loves Teddy Bears.  She's a good egg.  I like my grandmother. Grandma's pretty much rock!

 | We probably agree on a lot of things Ha ha... Scott - in light of the way we've been debating, I forgot you were, in fact, a Democrat!  Touche, man... |
