How? It is not American soil and its laws are not governed by the Constitution. Doesn't the 14th Amendment say that an American citizen is one who is born in the United States?

No. Basically its being born of an american parent regardless of where the
kid is born.

So do you think if an American couple has a child while vacationing in Canada the child isn't an American citizen?

Never mind, I looked it up. If the parents are US citizens and the kids is born overseas, then the kid is American.

If the kid is born in Canada, then the kid is a Canadian citizen.
