For me, Ross Perot's comments at the end about McCain are the most interesting part of this story. Has Perot expressed any opinions about Obama?

Yes, and it was entirely appropriate to ask about his possible affairs while searching for Whitewater evidence...
That whole debacle was spin and spin again. The worst thing was that we created a little cottage industry where the American people got to pay a bunch of lawyers for years do dig around and see if they can come up with anything...And this was an impeachable offense? please, at least Clinton's lie didn't cost the lives of thousand's of soldiers.

Donald I agree, but as president he should have never lied under oath. Just because they had the taxpayers pay for their little witch hunt, that doesn't make it right what he did.
But I am always amazed how those who put this shim sham man in office that we have now, can ever bring up the Lewinsky thing with a straight face.

I agree he shouldn't have lied...he should have told them where to put that line of questioning...had nothing to do with anything.

Being a republican didn't you vote for the king of all dumbasses, twice? I believe during the Clinton years we had a surplus, and what is the national debt now..............??????????
I've never hidden my disdain for Bush II. Or my voting record. I voted for Bush in 2000, not 2004. I agree Bush squandered the surplus by not cutting services with cutting taxes and by engaging in an unneccessary war.

He didn't just get a divorced, he whored his way all across Washington. Doing it while his wife was recovering from a serious injury. Yeah that's a romantic story for you.
Didn't John Kerry and Ted Kennedy do the same thing? What about Bill Clinton? How about Elliot Spitzer? What does this have to do with their quality as a candidate?

Geoff see we have one thing in common, I didn't vote for him in 2004 either.
I will feel warm in this moment we shared.

"Yes, and it was entirely appropriate to ask about his possible affairs while searching for Whitewater evidence..."
It was in his deposition for the Paula Jones lawsuit. Jones was suing him for sexual harrassment, so it was entirely appropriate to ask about this.
Regardless, I think for many people, it wasn't just the lying under oath (which is bad enough, especially for a president) but also the finger wagging denial on television to the American people afterwards.

Jodi - in all fairness to Geoff - he's one of the good ones - he's a republican, but a decent good republican - the old fashioned kind that have gotten lost in the last few decades of corporate whores and religious fundementalism.
A good Republican would not support the likes of GWB anymore than a good Democrat would support the Clintons. Wrong is wrong, no matter what the party lines.
Geoff is a good dude, Jodi - Speaking as a life-long Democrat - I vouch for his goodness, his decency and his character! We need more republicans like that guy.

Mike seriously I like Geoff , he seems to be a really smart and thoughtful guy. I'm just giving him a hard time because he gave me a hard time being a man hater. :0)
but also the finger wagging denial on television to the American people afterwards.
That too made me sick
